Ta-da! It’s Sofie’s patriotic pageant outfit! You might recognize her firecracker bows from my post Monday.
Do you like the gold trim? It should show well onstage. It’s more sparkly indoors. I’ve been wanting to show you for a while, but have been really busy watching Big Brother. (Anybody else watching? We can be obsessed together…)
I’m really mad at myself for not tying her top on properly for this photoshoot, but I know the fit is perfect because I did a wearable muslin after the first mockup, and made a couple fit adjustments here.
If you hang out with me on facebook, you already know my hubby got me an awesome camera. So now my photos won’t suck as much!
I thought having an awesome camera meant that I would automatically become an awesome photographer, but apparently talent is still a factor. I’m currently on page 3 of the manual, & I’m sure I’ll get through it in a year or two.
The really cool thing is that it can take photos in sports mode. So I just hold the button and follow the kids around. It’s like the difference between my .38 special, and a machine gun.
I have to show you this last photo, it will break your heart. See, Sofie’s dad was riding the 4-wheeler around, and had the nerve to drive with one of her brothers and not her. Poor little thing! When she cries, it’s like her whole world is crumbling. Oh, it kills me.
Are you devastated, just seeing her face?! My little niece hasn’t figured out how much power she has over me. I dread the day she does…
