I’m still making lots of little stuff!

3″ matching pigtail bows

And putting the finishing touches in Bella’s recently remodeled room.

light switch & plug covers made with scrapbook paper & modpodge

Evan asked my husband for a sword. Since we can’t give our 4 year old nephew a real sword, Mr. SewsNBows carved one out of a 2×4.

I added gold rope and some trim left over from the kids pirate costumes.

What kind of aunt & uncle make weapons for a 4 year old?

The same kind who give their nephews sugar for dinner then send them home to go to bed.

And buy the loudest, annoying toys.

The kind who lets Sofie drink my Starbucks.

And gleefully watch the boys stuffing sand down their pants for almost an hour.

Being an aunt is different than being a mom. You get to loom the other way a little bit…

Yup, you get to be cool. Kindof like a grandma. Spoil them and send them home when they’re naughty. lol! I tell my kids, don’t bring them here if you don’t want them to have sip of Diet Coke. Like Grammy is going to drink in front of them. Hee-hee! Then I teach them to say “Awwww” after they get a sip. Thanks for sharing your fun creations with Share Your Cup.

OK, all three of these items are wonderful! I could see some of my girlie-girl students with those beautiful matching pigtail bows, and I love how you made the light switch with scrapbook paper. And you know my son would love that sword! You’re right, that is totally a “cool aunt”/”cool uncle” gift! :) Thanks for sharing over at Stress-Free Sunday!

your switch plate cover is gorgeous!! as are the pony tail ties and sword. You definitely are the coolest aunt around!! I agree…it is different being an aunt than a mom and definitely let my nieces and nephews get away with things I would never let my kids do!!
