Ruffled Mini Wallet

Ruffled Mini Wallet

I didn’t get to sew anything this weekend, but this ruffled mini wallet was the last thing I finished before hubby got all the power tools out.

(I’ll have a sewing room reveal for you soon! If you follow me on facebook then you know my cabinets are in & painted now. I’m still trying to organize everything!)

I used this tutorial written by Amy from Stitchery Dickory Dock To make my ruffled mini wallet.

It was a fun, quick project. I never used those huge snaps before, next time I’ll read a tutorial because they seemed loose. I hand stitched them the make them more secure. (Amy used Velcro.) Then, since I liked the way it looked, I hand stitched around the edges of the wallet too.

What I really love is that I used up lots of smaller pieces of fabric. I’m always looking for scrap busters. I have several sewing boards on Pinterest, but my misc. & scrapbuster board has a ton of projects like this.

I’m going berserk without sewing. It’s not right. I can’t wait to start my next project, but everything is still packed in boxes. It’s chaos! Send me lots of good, organizey vibes okay? I’ll be back soon:)

It is so cute. I might make one myself. I need a wallet badly so I don’t have to keep digging through my purse every time I need my id.

      Jennifer,
I love these because the wristlet is great for a quick run to the store- I’ve also done similar ones with a keychain to attach to my keys.
