Sew Fashionable 02/29/16

Interesting tidbits on sewing and fashion for the week of 02/29/16!

Sew Fashionable blog series at SewsNBows

Last week I worked on a romper. I just have to draft a waistband since the top and bottom don’t fit together.  Fingers crossed, that will fix the weird crotch pulling. I’m hoping for a finished muslin this week, but honestly I’m sick of looking at it. I fear setting it aside, because I’ll forget where I was at or never pick it up again. If I don’t finish (or give up) soon, I won’t have anything to write about at all!

Romper in progress

Thank goodness for sewing blogs to keep me sane. Here’s what caught my attention this week!

Andie modified her powerbar and wasn’t thrilled with the results in her Garden Bra. Its so pretty though! I love reading about bra fitting, I’m going to need all the help I can get.

Donna reviewed on the Mila Shirt pattern from Itch To Stitch. It has seperate cup sizes up to DD.

I’m swooning over Karly’s dress in Wildland Teepees print for Kids Clothes Week.

She used the newest Legends pattern from Sew Straight & Gather. Terri designed a Ladies Legends Top & Dress pattern too!

Helena’s Inari dress is stunning in printed metallic linen. Her boho inspired wardrobe plan made me want to fabric shop, I almost relapsed.

Kay The Sewing Lawyer demonstrated a pattern adjustment to eliminate sag and wrinkles from the bum area in pants. Once I figure out how to sew for my boobs, my backside is next!

Thanks for reading, and have a great week!
