Sew Fashionable 03/07/16

Interesting tidbits on sewing and fashion across the blogosphere this week!

Sew Fashionable blog series at SewsNBows

This week is a whirlwind! Remember the romper I’ve been working on? I have to start over with different shorts. I eased out some of the crotch wrinkling, but there’s still a noticeable pulling. Not like a cameltoe, but a v-shaped pulling up all the way towards the waist. I had to put it away because I was done with vagina issues. I’ve been designing fabric, making hair bows, and dyeing lingerie elastic instead.

Here are some projects and posts I’ve been admiring.

Dawns floral Eleonor Jeans are awesome.

Sewbon’s Erin made a striped dress hacked from the Lou Box Too pattern

Maddy made some pinup-esque cigarette pants in wool from her great grandmothers stash.

The Dreamstress tells how to choose knit fabric for t-shirts, and an awesome trick to judge a knit fabric’s stability.

Vesta Patterns offers patterns with 3 different body shapes to choose from.

Have a great week!
