Sew Fashionable 03/14/16

Interesting tidbits on sewing and fashion across the blogosphere this week!

Sew Fashionable blog series at SewsNBows

Last week I laid a romper to rest. I’m near the finish line, I think one more set of adjustments and another toile would’ve done the trick. But I’m all rompered out.

Amanda Bra from Pinup Girls

So I started working on the Amanda bra from PinUp Girls, and I’m a little stuck on this project too. I’ll tell you all about it once I finish. AND I WILL FINISH. #BraStruggle

Here are some posts and projects that caught my attention this week.

Rhonda’s Geometric Dream jacket in houndstooth.

I’m loving the new Santiago Jacket pattern from On The Cutting Room Floor, size 4-22

Another new jacket pattern; the Tosti Utility Jacket from Waffle Patterns http://www.wafflepatterns.com/products/utility-jacket-tosti

Michelle is bringing the 70’s back with her duster!

An interesting post about the art of millinery at House Of Pinheiro.

The perfect basic top in stretch crepe from Handmade Jane.

Thinking about sewing jeans? Read “Is Designer Denim Worth It?” at The Creative Councilor.

A look at the fashion design industry from the business end: “Why Do Successful Lingerie Lines Close?” from The Lingerie Addict.

Very pretty baby blue and white lace bra set from Very Purple Person.

Have a great week!
