Thomas Baby Tie & Diaper Cover

Thomas Baby Tie & Diaper Cover

By Amy Mayen

I made this Thomas Baby Tie & Diaper Cover set for my friends son. The fabric is leftover from Evan’s Thomas boxers.

Landen will be adorable in these!

Wait, here comes the ugly.I had a couple scraps left, & decided to make a party hat.

.

It seems I’m not a party hat maker extraordinaire. As you can see, I even failed to get a decent picture.

The paper fan is awful. The number one on front looks like number two ( I’m referring to poop, get it?) There’s glue all over it, the ribbon is crooked-It’s a mess.

Do you have any Epic Fails? If so, comment the link or tell me about it. My ego is wounded & it’ll make me feel better. Ha ha!

P.S. I had to change my email subscription since my plug in stopped working. If you’d like my posts by email, please subscribe (or re-subscribe) in my sidebar. Thanks!

Lol! I have had plenty of fails! I need to find an old picture of a pair of bloomers I made….thinking that I was just putting ruffle lace on the butt but actually ended up being on the left side when the job was finished! Haha!

The tie and diaper cover are so cute. The hat is not that bad. The little one year old guy will love it! The hats usually end up in sad shape when the parties over anyway. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.

The tie and nappy cover look fabulous, Amy!!! The hat has Thomas on it, so the recipient won’t care what else there is. He’ll be happy.

Aw, the hat looks fine! Just needs some icing and bits of cake on it to be perfect!

Epic fails? Oh yeah…in fact currently I have a pile of tulle of which is supposed to transformed into a tulle skirt ala Carrie Bradshaw. Not even my style really, but all the personal style bloggers were doing it, so I foolishly jumped on the train. Let’s be real here, it’s never going to be completed, and I’m going to end up throwing the entire thing in the garbage. Sewing netting is a nightmare; my thread keeps breaking, the layers aren’t lining up, you get the picture, LOL. Feel better? :)

Answered your Q on my blog…but since I’m here. Think about all white flowers with a black container. I also asked what colour your house is because that could play into your choice.

The diaoer cover + tie are great… in fact the hat isn’t… I always finish in *poop* when I go using glue… I prefer thread and needles, for sure :)
Oh, and I’ve subscribed to the new-newsletter so I can tell you if it is all right ;)

I agree with Rachel, my epic fails look way worse than yours. I viewed the picture several times and couldn’t see what was wrong with it! I thought the whole outfit (birthday hat and all) was fantastic. Nice job! :)
